Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
If your company requires a set number of in-office days each month, Officast tracks how many you still owe and, each day, recommends office (full / AM-only / PM-only) or work-from-home based on the weather along your commute — so you spend office days on the good days and save WFH for the bad ones.
Officast scores the rain, snow, wind, and heat at your morning and evening commute times, then weighs that against how many office days you still owe this month. When you are behind on your quota, it recommends going in more readily; when you have slack, it waits for a genuinely good day.
A half-day (going in for the morning or the afternoon only) still counts as a full office day. So when the morning is stormy but the afternoon clears up, Officast suggests going in for the afternoon only — you keep your quota progress and dodge the worst weather.
Yes. There is no account and no cloud. All your records stay on your device. The only network request is to fetch the weather forecast from Open-Meteo. There is no advertising, analytics, or tracking. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Officast can send local reminders (such as an evening check-in that also previews tomorrow's recommendation). Enable notifications when prompted, or in iOS Settings → Officast → Notifications.
Because everything is stored on your device, deleting the app removes all data (records, settings, and cached weather). You can also adjust this month's required office days or reset the month from the in-app Settings screen.
